All of Sutton's grammar schools have been placed in this year's Sunday Times Best Schools Guide.

Wilson's School, Nonsuch High School for Girls, Sutton Grammar School for Boys, Wallington High School for Girls and Wallington County Grammar School were all placed in the Top 100 State Secondary Schools category.

Their position was based on A* to B grade A-level results and A* and A grade GCSE results.

Ranked thirteenth in the county, Wilson's School achieved the highest ranking in the borough. It was followed by Nonsuch High School for Girls at 16, Sutton Grammar School for Boys at 26, Wallington High School for Girls at 27 and Wallington County Grammar School at 34.

Councillor Kirsty Jerome, executive member for education and schools at Sutton Council, said: “I am very pleased that so many of our secondary schools have made it into The Times’ top state schools list again this year and I would like to congratulate the staff and pupils on this achievement.

“I also want to highlight the nine other secondaries within the borough that also deliver an excellent level of education and help to make Sutton one of the best areas for schools in the entire country.”
