THE Oxfam bookshop in St Albans city centre is looking for temporary storage space while it is refurbished in September.
Shop manager Pauline Wilby needs a small room where volunteers can drop off books donated by the public and staff can sort them.
She said: "A room about the size of our current back room - about 30 feet by 20 - would be fine.
"We don't want to sell from it, so it wouldn't be open to the public.
"We will leave it as we found it and we would be willing to pay a nominal fee.
"If there is anyone out there willing to help we would like to hear from you. You would be doing us a very good turn and helping us to help people desperately in need."
Ms Wilby can be contacted on 01727 861589 or 07900 - 540575.
