A lucky Sutton lady won a date with TV chef Jamie Oliver as a reward for her outstanding contribution to his direct-sales business, Jamie at Home.
Valerie Jones, from Cecil Road, was joined by 48 other Jamie at Home consultants who work in partnership with Mr Oliver selling his collection of lifestyle products through home parties.
The TV chef invited all his consultants to his Essex home as a way of saying thanks for their contribution to helping his new business idea work.
The 55-year-old said: “It was a wonderful day with glorious sunshine , where we were sat outside in the grounds of Jamie’s beautiful home drinking Pimm’s, and were treated to a delicious pizza lunch prepared by the chef’s from his restaurant, Fifteen.
“I love my job, although with perks like this it doesn’t seem like a job when you enjoy it so much. As they say, if you love your job, you’ll never do a days work in your life.”
