PEOPLE of the borough celebrated summer in style with a variety of events across the area.
Orpington MP Jo Johnson was amongst nearly 500 spectators at Mary Cray recreation ground for Cray Wanderers’ 3-0 victory over Crockenhill - a game which marked the club’s 150th anniversary.
It was the first time the club had played in the Crays for around 40 years and they wore their old strip of chocolate and amber stripes.
Wanderers chairman Gary Hillman said: “It was double our usual attendance and it was great to mark the anniversary with a local derby.”
Elsewhere, Bishop Justus Church of England School, Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley, hosted its first ever community fun day.
It included a parade by volunteer police cadets, drama performances, stalls, games and competitions.
In Orpington, Blenheim Primary School, Blenheim Road, held its own fun day featuring gymnastics, Thai boxing and football displays.
Meanwhile, the Biggin Hill Festival included a dog show and classic car exhibition at Church Road’s recreation ground.
