Colourful roses will blossom on the site of a once overgrown and rubbish-strewn grass verge in Watford.
A new pavement-side rose bed has been planted in its place, outside a garage block at the junction of Queen’s Road and Sutton Road.
It replaces an unsightly assortment of weeds, litter and wild shrubbery.
The rose bed, which was paid for with community grants by Liberal Democrat councillors Chris Leslie, Sheila Smilie, Rabi Martins, and Stephen Giles-Medhurst, will now be maintained by Watford Borough Council.
