LOVE Ends Disaster (LED) are said to be one of Nottingham's best up-and-coming talents.
With a singer based in London and the five-piece band having recently signed to North London record label Denial Records, the future for them would appear to be anything but a disaster.
They will be recording their EP in INFX Studio, High Wycombe, in September, with a release date by the end of the year.
It will follow hard on the heels of LED Volume II, which was released in March 2004, which in turn followed Volume I, out in May 2003.
The four tracks on Volume II each bring something different to the party.
It kicks off with John Major's MegaDrive which is a bit of a mixed bag, featuring heavy guitar in places with some chilled out harmonies.
Track two, Sendai, is arguably more catchy, particularly with its distinct lyrics which you find yourself singing along to early on and then humming about half-an-hour later.
This new wave - track three - again has some slow, spaced out harmonies, which gather pace nicely as the song progresses.
Track four - I think I'll pass on that one, largely because I thought my CD player had bust (those who have heard it will know why).
On Tuesday, August 17, LED will be visiting the capital to play a gig in Dublin Castle, Camden, with Fans of Kate and The Souls.
This will be followed by an appearance at the Attik, in Leicester, on Tuesday, August 24.
On Friday, September 24, they hit High Wycombe with a gig at The White Horse.
