A KITCHEN fire and a blazing car kept firefighters from Thames-side busy last night.
The first incident happened at around 8.30pm yesterday (March 21) when they were called to reports of a fire in a house in Coulton Avenue, Gravesend.
Cooking which had been left unattended had caught alight causing fire damage to the kitchen and smoke damage to the ground floor of the property.
Fire crews from Swanscombe and Thames-side were at the scene for around 30 minutes.
Four hours later they were called to a car fire in Mollison Rise, Gravesend.
A Renault Megane was completely destroyed by flames and the incident is being treated as suspicious.
Crews from Thames-side were there for about half an hour.
