African quotations book launched at Parliament

A NEW book available in Harrow which celebrates African heritage was launched at the House of Common.

At a event hosted by Labour MP for Brent South Dawn Butler, voluntary organisation BTWSC launched a book called African Voices: Quotations by People of African Descent.

The book, which is available at libraries across Harrow, contains inspirational quotations from people of African descent, showing the depth of contribution to world civilisation from Africa.

Tony McNulty, Labour MP for Harrow East, was among the guests at the launch on Tuesday, March 16, and said: “To have a book like this celebrating the intellectual might of so many of African heritage must be good not only for those of African heritage, but for everybody because this adds to the rich body of what is humanity and humanity is golden.”

The book is also on sale at bookshops in Finsbury Park, Willesden, Harlesden, costing £8.

It's good to see Mr McNulty pandering to the black vote. Unfortunately for him, they have the ability to read about his enterprising expense claims and will likely draw the same conclusion as the rest of us.

I don't know what SeaBee means by "pandering". I was pleased to read about Tony McNulty MP taking time to attend the launch of a significant book, African Voices. The expenses story has been overplayed by those with little to say, perhaps buying a copy of the book will broaden SeaBee's horizons.
