A MAN has been taken to hospital after being assaulted in Edmonton this morning.
The victim, thought to be in his 40s, was attacked in Huxley Road close to the junction with Haselbury Road.
Police were called to the scene, which is less than half a mile away from North Middlesex Hospital and Silver Street Rail station, at about 9am.
Ambulance crews also attended and paramedics treated the man for minor injuries. He was later taken to a north London hospital as a precaution.
It is not believed any weapons were used in the attack. Police said there had been one arrest.
Haselbury Road was closed both ways until about 3pm while officers carried out investigations.
Bus route W6 was put of diversion via Church Street and A10 Great Cambridge Road, during the six hours of closures.
