MORE than £300 was raised for the Parkinson's Disease Society at a residential care home in Beaconsfield.

Sunrise Senior Living, on Warwick Road, held a musical event on February 25 to raise money for the charity's Amersham & High Wycombe branch.

About 40 people joined the residents and Paul Quirk, the home's general manager, said: “We have very strong links with the local Parkinson's Society and the area's Parkinson's nurse, Liz Scott, who has been very supportive of Sunrise.

“With residents in our community with Parkinson's, we felt we would very much like to do something in return for such a worthwhile charity.”
