THE Odeon cinema in Gerrards Cross is to get a digital projector, allowing it to show 3D films.
The projector will be installed at the Ethorpe Crescent two-screen cinema in March.
It comes after the 3D success of science fiction film Avatar and animated adventures Up and Monsters vs Aliens, which were shown in 3D at multiplexes.
Several major features will be in 3D this year, including Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp, Toy Story 3 and Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 1.
The cinema said the films would cost a maximum £2.25 extra.
General manager Elaine Pullen said: “I know that a number of guests were disappointed that we were unable to offer Avatar in 3D recently, leading us to lose out to the multiplexes.
“That is something that we intend to rectify very soon.”
