The alleged drug dealer will not be able to travel to certain countries for many years, but worse he will be denied the ability to do certain jobs in the UK, just because of a drugs arrest.

Freedom means the freedom for people to endanger themselves if they want. If people want to take drugs, so what? This guy would have just been trying to make a living, and the drugs trade is artificially profitable due to the illegality of some drugs.
