Robbers stole a “large amount” of cash during a raid at a north Watford shop.
Two men entered the Carphone Warehouse in St Albans Road, forced open a rear door and threatened staff workers making a cash collection.
One robber grabbed the money and the pair left the shop on foot, running down a side alleyway where police believe they got into a waiting vehicle and drove onto Bushey Mill Lane towards Radlett Road.
Police said a large amount of cash was taken, but no-one was hurt, during the incident between 3.45pm and 4.50pm on Thursday, January 21.
Detective Sergeant Ian Siggery said: “We are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed anything at the time or has any information to come forward.
“In particular, we are keen to trace any customers who may have been in the shop at the time or seen men getting into a car in the Bushey Mill Lane area and drove off at speed.
“People may also have seen two men acting suspiciously or loitering in the area before the time of the offence, and I would like to hear from them too.”
Anyone with any information should telephone DS Siggery on 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
