AN 18-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital with a fractured ankle after being hit by a car in High Wycombe.
The man was injured in an incident at 8.19pm in Park Street. He was taken to Stoke Mandeville hospital but has since been discharged.
Two cars, one of which is red and the other described as dark-coloured were involved, police say, and the incident is being treated as GBH with intent.
The road was cordoned off while police investigated.
Gurmej Dhyllon, owner of RD News and off-licence said the wall of his business was damaged in the incident.
Wine was knocked off the storeroom shelf and the collision cracked the wall.
The injured man came into the store ‘and just fell over’ he said.
No arrests have yet been made and police enquiries are ongoing. An appeal for witnesses to the incident was made last night.
Anyone with information should contact DS Jason Liles on 08458 505 505, quoting URN 1353 of January 25, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I am sorry, but the reporting is very appalling. Obviously the fate of the wine is taking priority over the injured person.
I hope my postbox outside is still okay? ;)
And what actually happened? It is such a small road where you can't drive at any speeds - did the car deliberately aim for the guy and why did the wall get damaged (which means that at least one of the cars had to mounted the pavement)?
