Thieves stole a Hugo Boss bag after two cars were targeted in Flackwell Heath.

The rear windscreen of a vehicle parked on Straight Bit was smashed between 8pm and 9.30pm on Friday. Police said the black shoulder bag, which looks like a laptop bag, contained miscellaneous papers.

Offenders had earlier forced the driver's door lock on a vehicle in Juniper Lane between midnight and 4am on Friday. A search was made of the vehicle but nothing appears to have been stolen.

At no point does the article say any bags or valuables were left on display, the bag was actually taken from a boot which had a parcel shelf drawn over it!
