This advert, which appeared in St Andrews Parish Magazine in May 1954, shows what you could have seen exactly 50 years ago.

It was sent in by reader Brian Lipscombe, who wrote: "I thought you and your readers might be interested to see what was showing at the two Orpington cinemas (now no more) in May 1954.

"The advert came from the St Andrew's church magazine, which had adverts for many Orpington shops and businesses which have also gone."

Technicolor main features included Sally Ann Howes in Fools Rush In, Bob Hope and Joan Fontaine in Casanova's Big Night and Jeff Chandler and Rhonda Fleming in Yankee Pasha.
