YOUNGSTERS aged between six months and five years are next on the list to receive swine flu vaccinations, according to health bosses.
The NHS says children under five are more likely than other groups to be hospitalised if they become ill with the virus.
Director of public health in Bromley, Dr Angela Bhan, says NHS Bromley is working with the Department of Health to ensure youngsters in Bromley are offered the vaccine next.
She said: “Protecting residents who are more at risk from swine flu will reduce the levels of serious illness and deaths. That’s why we will shortly offer the vaccine to young children.”
Parents of children who are over six months and under five years should wait to be contacted by there GP to arrange for a vaccination.
