A KINGSBURY man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg by a motorbike thief.
The 27-year-old had advertised his Yamaha R6 bike for sale over the Internet, and met a man who had come to buy it, on Thursday, November 5.
However, after the man arrived at his home, in Sunnymead Road, he went away saying he getting petrol and returned with a gun.
The gunman told the man to get back before shooting him in the leg and stealing his motorcycle.
The wounded victim bravely tried to chase after the robber before collapsing in need of hospital treatment.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the gunpoint robbery, which happened at around 7.45pm, to get in touch.
The gunman is described as black, in his late 20s, and was wearing a red and black crash helmet, a black jacket, blue jeans, and trainers.
Police say the victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
