Man shot in back in New Addington


A man has been shot in the back by after an altercation with three men in New Addington.

Police responded to reports that a man was shot in Tilford Avenue at 9pm on Monday and found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to the back.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “He was taken to a south London hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“At this early stage it is believed that the victim was shot in King Henry's Drive, New Addington and made his way to Tilford Avenue when police and LAS were called.”

“Trident detectives are investigating.”
