DEPTFORD: Police reveal names of tower block bodies

POLICE have released the names of two people found stabbed to death in a block of flats.

The body of 36-year-old Ayodele Akinsiku was found by officers at 8am on Thursday (Oct22) at Cornbury House in Evelyn Street, Deptford.

The Met has launched a murder investigation into her death but is not treating the death of her brother-in-law Abaodun Akinsiku, aged 28, as suspicious.

Ayodele was a parent governor at Grinling Gibbons primary school in Lewisham.

Headteacher Cynthia Eubank said: "This is an absolute tragedy and the school community is devastated. Our thoughts are with the family at this very sad time."

Detectives from the homicide and serious crime command in Lewisham are investigating the deaths but are not searching for anyone else.
