THREE teenagers on their way to school rescued a child from a vehicle involved in a crash in Chesham.
Jack Bunce, Hannah Champion and Becky James have been praised for their remarkable maturity and bravery when they saw the three car crash happen on Lowndes Avenue on Monday.
The 13-year-old pupils from Chesham Park Community College managed to help a child out of one of the cars involved in the collision, and they rang the emergency services.
Headteacher Kevin Patrick said: “They were very brave. It is a reflection of their mature approach and how responsible they were when there was a very stressful situation.
“Their bravery reflected our motto which is 'commitment, care and community,' which we reinforce across the college and community.
“They have done exactly that. When there was a difficult situation they responded appropriately and made sure the family was safe.”
The child passenger got a bump on the head and the female driver had a minor wrist injury and bruising to her chest.
An ambulance attended but no one was taken to hospital. The male drivers in the other two cars had no injuries
