Burglars target Welwyn Garden City home

JEWELLERY, cash, a games console and flat screen TV were stolen from a house in Welwyn Garden City last week.

The thieves forced open the patio doors to a property in Little Dell and raided the rooms before making off with a 37 inch LCD TV, a computer, Nintendo Wii, an iPod and several items of jewellery.

The burglary took place on Tuesday, October 13 between 8.10am and 4.25pm when the homeowners were out.

PC Alison Morris, officer for the area crime group in Hatfield, said: “The television was a large item and it probably would have taken two people to remove it from the house.

“Also it is unlikely that the quantity of items taken from the property would have been removed in one go, so we are hoping that someone may have seen this burglary take place even if they did not realise a crime was occurring at the time.”
