Man stabbed in Sutton town centre

Police are investigating a stabbing of 24-year-old man in Sutton town centre.

Police cordoned off Elm Grove off Throwley Way shortly after 12.50am this morning after reports of the stabbing.

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called just before 12.50am this morning to reports of a stabbing on Elm Grove and we sent one ambulance crew to the scene.

"Staff treated a one patient, a 24-year-old man, who was taken to hospital as a priority.”

It is unknown whether the stab wounds are fatal or not.
