Crime round-up: Wooburn Green break-ins


OCCUPANTS of a property in Wooburn Green were disturbed twice this morning as as offenders tried to gain entry to their home.

They first heard a window smash at around 12.40am but when they turned on a light the offenders ran off.

Police made an extensive search of the property in Holtspur Avenue but failed to trace the offenders.

Then at about 4am police were called again after the occupants heard a loud bang from a side door.

Damage had been caused to the door frame and handle but no entry was gained. Again there was no trace of the offenders.

The following crimes have been reported to Thames Valley Police:

Between 7:00pm and 9:00pm on Friday, offenders attempted to gain entry to a premise in Cromwell Road, by forcing two ground floor windows causing damage. Damage was also caused to a rear kitchen door although no entry was gained, and nothing stolen.

Between 12:05pm and 10:55pm on Friday, entry was gained to a premise in Cromwell Road, by forcing a side door to the property. A tidy search was made and property including jewellery and cash was stolen.

Between 6:00pm on Saturday 17th and 8:00am on Monday 19th, offenders gained entry to a white coloured Mercedes Sprinter van, while parked in a Car Park in Coningsby Road, High Wycombe, by forcing the nearside door. A number of tools including Cordless drills, a nail gun, two disc sanders, a planer, and an air compressor were stolen.

Between 5:30pm on Saturday 17th and 11:30am on Sunday 18th, offenders stole the front and rear registration plates from a silver coloured Audi TT vehicle, while parked in Limmer Lane, High Wycombe.

Over night Friday 16th to 7:30am on Saturday 17th offenders stole the front and rear registration plates from a red coloured Citroen van, while parked in Clarendon Road, High Wycombe.

Between 7:00pm on Friday 16th and 3:20am on Saturday 17th, offenders gained entry to a premise in Hamilton Road, High Wycombe, by forcing the front door. Two sets of keys and a number of books were stolen, together with a silver coloured Vauxhall Corsa vehicle. It was thought the vehicle was heard to start and drive off at about 2:00am.

Between 7:00pm on Friday 16th and 12:20am on Saturday 17th, offenders gained entry to a premise in Clarendon Road, by forcing the front door. An untidy search was made of the premise and jewellery and cash was stolen.

Between 6:00pm and 9:20pm on Sunday 18th, offenders have used a lever to bend the top of the nearside passenger door of a green Vauxhall Corsa vehicle, while parked in Thame Road, Longwick. Entry was then gained to the boot of the vehicle by folding the seats, and an Acer laptop computer in a black leather case, together with a new, yellow coloured Abercrombie sweater and a grey T-shirt were stolen.

Between 12:30pm and 4:15pm on Saturday 17th, offenders gained entry to a premise in Little Hampden, by forcing the rear door. An untidy search was made and although nothing appears to have been taken, a large screen Samsung Plasma Television appears to have been dropped by the offenders and damaged.

Between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Saturday 17th, offenders gained entry to a grey Fiat Punto vehicle, while parked in the Car Park at Whiteleaf Cross, Peters Lane, Whiteleaf, by inserting an instrument into the passenger door lock. A Sonic CD player together with a blue coloured handbag and contents was stolen.

Between 6:00pm on Saturday 17th and 7:30am on Sunday 18th, offenders gained entry to a compound at High Heavens Waste Disposal Site, Clay Lane, Booker, and stole a quantity of Copper wire and a number of car batteries from a storage shed.

Between 8.00pm on Friday 9th and 8.15pm on Sunday 18th, offenders have gained entry to a premise in Hillside Road, Marlow, by forcing a rear ground floor window. An untidy search was made, and property including a Hewlett Packard laptop computer, and Jewellery was stolen.

Between 9:00pm on Friday 16th and 8:30am on Saturday 17th, offenders smashed the front nearside window of a green Volkswagen Polo vehicle, while parked in Heath End Road, Flackwell Heath. A search was made of the vehicle, but nothing appears to have been stolen.  Between Friday 9th and Friday 16th, offenders attempted to gain entry to a premise in Marlow Road, Stokenchurch, by forcing a rear bedroom window, causing damage to the frame. No entry appears to have been gained, and nothing stolen.

Between 5:45pm and 10:00pm on Friday 16th, offenders gained entry to a blue Volkswagen Passat estate vehicle, while parked in Station Road, Marlow, by smashing the rear windscreen. A laptop bag containing a computer portable hard drive and a pocket media player, together with a drivers licence and vehicle documents and other items were stolen.

Between 5:00pm on Wednesday 14th and 2:00pm on Friday 16th, offenders gained entry to 2 foreign registered articulated goods vehicles while parked on the Old Oxford Road at Piddington, by slashing the trailers side curtains, in order to gain access to the cargo. It is believed that Plasma televisions and other electrical items were stolen.

Cromwell Road, Coningsby Road, Clarendon Road, Hamilton Road, High Heavens, Hillside Road, Heath End Road - what is with all the C and H roads...do crims work alphabetically?

err...I am pointing out how freaky it is that the roads start with C or H, it struck me as odd.
