Crime round-up: Jewellery burglars strike in Wooburn Green


BURGLARS broke into a property in Wooburn Green last night and stole some jewellery.

At about 7.40pm the occupant of the property in Clapton Approach returned home to find offenders had forced through a rear ground floor window.

They had searched the premises and taken a quantity of jewellery. It is possible the offenders were disturbed as a number of electrical items had been left behind, although no one was seen.

The following crimes have been reported by Thames Valley Police:

Between 7pm on Friday and 8.45am on Saturday offenders gained entry to a silver coloured Ford Focus vehicle, while parked in Morrisons Car Park, Temple End, High Wycombe, by smashing the rear offside window, and a Dell laptop computer was stolen from the rear seat.

Between 11.30am and 5pm on Saturday offenders stole the front and rear offside wheels and tyres from a silver coloured Volkswagen Golf vehicle while parked in Buckmaster Road, Booker.

Between 7.30pm on yesterday and 8am on this morning, offenders gained entry to a blue Volkswagen Polo vehicle, while parked in Hedsor Road, Upper Bourne End, via the drivers door and a Laptop computer was stolen from the boot.

Between 7.30pm and 10.30pm yesterday, offenders gained entry to a premise in Buckingham Close, High Wycombe, by forcing a rear ground floor window. A search was made of the whole house and property including electrical items stolen after cutting the wires with a kitchen knife.
