A MAN claiming to be a police officer was disturbed as he entered a home in Hatters Lane, High Wycombe, at about 3.20pm on Saturday.
One man was on the footpath to the front door and another was inside the house when the occupant called out to them. The man inside the house claimed he was a detective trying to catch someone in the building and the other man claimed to be from Neighbourhood Watch.
They left after the occupant called out to a neighbour.
One man is described as white, with curly dark hair and the other white with fair/ ginger hair, a navy blue top and bottoms.
A stereo unit was stolen from a blue Peugot 306 parked in Castle Street, High Wycombe, on Friday night.
The passenger door lock was forced sometime between 9.20pm on Friday and 1.45am on Saturday.
A computer monitor and an empty safe were stolen from Bourne End Garden Centre in Hedsor Road.
Thieves broke in by smashing a window sometime between 6pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday. A Makita tool kit and portable Matsui DVD player were also taken.
Thieves stole a chainsaw from a domestic garage in Dedmere Road, Marlow.
They took the Stihl tool sometime between 6pm on Thursday and 6am on Friday.
Two pedal bikes were stolen from a garden shed in Sedgmoor Road, Flackwell Heath, over the weekend.
Thieves entered the shed sometime between 8pm on Friday and 7pm on Saturday. They dismantled the bikes and passed them through the window. One bike is a white Gent 17 inch framed Boardman Pro mountain bike and a silver Gents 17 inch Marin Rocksprings mountain bike with full suspension. A Karcher pressure washer was also taken.
