STARGAZERS will be able to get a glimpse of space during a fortnight of events at a library.
The Orpington Astronomical Society has organised a space-themed exhibition at Bromley Central Library to help celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.
The free exhibition runs from October 14 to October 28.
And on October 24, the society will lay on a special celebration at the library in Bromley High Street, with members on hand to talk about astronomy and offer visitors a chance to peer through a solar telescope.
There will also be a free moon watch that evening in High Elms Country Park, Farnborough, from 6pm.
The International Year of Astronomy coincides with the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s first glimpses through a telescope.
Call the society on 01689 896712 for more details or the parks service on 01689 8962815 to book a place on the moon watch.
