Harrow Mosque protest will be 9/11 event

FAR-RIGHT protesters have turned an anti-mosque protest thought to have been cancelled into a 9/11 memorial event.
Plans by the English Defence League (EDL) and Casuals United to demonstrate outside Harrow Central Mosque, in Station Road, will go ahead on September 11, the groups' website reports.
The original event was organised for August 29 to protest against alleged plans for a Sharia court at the religious institution's new building, but the mosque's general secretary says it never intended to hold any.
A message posted on British Defence Leagues' website, of which both groups are a part, says they do not believe the mosque's statement and says “we don't want any more mosques in this country”.
