A GROUP of imaginative students have taken to the streets to film their own interpretation of life in suburbia.
The youngsters - Elvis Miranda, Faham Katamba, Ezikiel Omideyi, Zahra Green and Troy Germain - who all study at Redbridge College spent, May half term researching, filming and editing their masterpiece.
The group spent time at the British Film Institute, London Transport Museum and Redbridge Museum to get inspiration, before commencing filming in Ilford Town Centre and the surrounding areas.
Archive footage was then cleverly blended with the students’ own work to create a tongue-in-cheek look at life in Redbridge, including the history, transport and leisure activities available to residents.
The following week they were treated to a special screening of the finished film at the London Transport Museum.
Zahra Green said: “I really enjoyed making this film and we’re really proud to have it shown at the London Transport Museum.”
For more information about the viewing, visit the museum’s website at www.ltmuseum.co.uk or call 7379 6344.
