PETTS WOOD: Gareth Hale helps launch town's Gold Card

A TV funnyman helped to launch a new discount card aimed at bringing shoppers into a high street.

Chislehurst’s Gareth Hale, one half of comedy duo Hale and Pace, visited Petts Wood for the unveiling of the town’s Gold Card.

The card will offer customers discounts in shops, restaurants and cafes which have signed up to the scheme.

It has been launched by the Petts Wood Business Association and the organisation’s chairman, John Charsley, said: “Gareth Hale was given the first card.

“It is an excellent idea and we hope it will encourage more people to shop in Petts Wood.

“Businesses have been busy dishing out cards to shoppers and we hope it will prove to be a success.”

The card was unveiled in Petts Wood on July 4 and shoppers can pick one up at participating businesses.

Ironic choice of backdrop for the photo (ie the old woolies store) but good luck to the petts wood businesses, hope it works and helps keep the town with a wide range of businesses

Second photo - worst shop sign ever!

What's it supposed to be?

(Treble Clef)ade Hair.

So is it Tade hair (T for treble). Cade hair, C for Clef? Treble clef also known as the G clef, so is it Gade hair? Looks a little like a F. Fade Hair? Doubt it.

What is it?
