A MILITARY museum has launched a new guide for people researching their family history.
The book produced by Firepower, the Royal Artillery Museum, at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, gives information on how the museum’s archives can help people trace relatives who served as privates, or gunners, in the Royal Artillery.
Curator of the museum Mark Smith said: “Our archive is relevant to so many family historians because the Royal Artillery is one of the biggest regiments in the British Army.
“There are literally millions of people out there who have family ties with the Royal Artillery and we are happy to help them find out more about their gunner heritage.”
Is There a Gunner in Your Family Tree? costs £2.
