A Croydon ambulance worker will be hoping she’s as quick as a hare as she runs the London Marathon in a bunny costume.
Sharon Chesworth lost her cousin to cancer on Mother’s Day and has decided to run the marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
She works as a resource centre co-ordinator for the London Ambulance Service at Croydon ambulance station.
The 34-year-old, whose middle name is Bunny, said: “I’m hoping to raise as much as I can from marathon sponsorship and £5,000 by the end of the year.”
She is part of a group of 18 London Ambulance Service staff running the marathon in aid of various charities.
