THE cyclist killed in Gerrards Cross yesterday morning has been named by police as Jim Fleming.

The 47-year-old from New Denham was declared dead at the scene after his bike was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle on the A413.

The accident happened at around 6.30am yesterday.

Following the crash police have launched an investigation to find the driver of the other vehicle involved.

Inspector Bob Jarrett, who is leading the investigation, said: “All that we know at the moment is that it was a dark coloured car and it is likely to have collision damage to the front of the vehicle.

“I would like to hear from anyone that may be able to help us to identify the car.

“We would also like to speak with two Polish men who stopped at the scene to assist, but then left before we could get their details. They may have some important information that might be able to assist us, so I would urge them to get in touch.”
