A High Wycombe cinema is to boldly go where only a handful have gone before, after it announced plans to heavily invest in 3D digital technology.
Cineworld has announced it will roll out 3D upgrades for 64 of its 75 cinemas, with the High Wycombe cinema welcoming two new 3D digital screens.
Currently only one of The Eden-based multiplex's screens is 3D capable and it will screen the highly anticipated Dreamworks movie, Monsters Vs Aliens, from Friday.
But with 13 3D films already promised for the coming year, the additional two 3D screens will help to cope with the growing demand.
Tom Manning, general manager for Cineworld High Wycombe, said: “Cineworld is proud to be a part of the company’s 3D screen investment; this will guarantee our customers the best possible cinematic experience during their visit.
“The exciting new 3D technology in our cinema means we will be taking full advantage of the fantastic 3D film schedule this year. We look forwarding to welcoming new and existing local film fans to experience it.”
