Barnet trade unionists will join a march in London today to call on world leaders to "put people first".
The "Put People First" march will go through the centre of the capital today to call for decent jobs, economic democracy and an end to global poverty in the build up to the G20 summit.
Barnet Trade Union Council and the Barnet Community Campaign will gather at Cleopatra’s Needle on Victoria Embankment at 10.30am before joining the march.
The march has been organised by the national Trade Union Council, charities and religious organisations.
In the coming months Barnet TUC aims to apply the same principles at a local level by campaigning for greater accountability in local government and defening public services in the borough.
