SIX girls from a Wycombe school had their faith confirmed at a Hughenden church by one of the county's top clergymen.
The ceremony, which was held at St Michael and All Angels Parish Church, was presided over by Doctor Alan Wilson, Area Bishop of Buckingham.
The event marked the end of three months of preparation for the pupils from Pipers Corner School in Great Kingshill.
During this period the girls met after shool to discuss religion with head of religious studies Nicola Gledhill and school chaplain Mary Gurr.
Mrs Gledhill said: “At Pipers Corner where we recognise the importance of spiritual development, we are delighted that these girls have chosen to publicly declare their faith, as they move on in their own spiritual journey.
“The confirmation service and tea was a lovely occasion with excellent advice and teaching from the bishop, who spoke about the rules of St Benedict.”
After confirmation the pupils brought their families and friends back to school for a celebration tea
