Bus crashes on Richmond Bridge

An out-of-service bus has crashed into scaffolding on Richmond Bridge.

The bridge has been closed causing delays on routes into Richmond town centre.

It is understood the accident happened at around 4.50pm today when the route 691 bus hit scaffolding on Bar Estilo. Congestion is stretching back to Lower Mortlake Road and onto Eton Street and Paradise Road.

A spokesman for Transport for London confirmed that no-one had been injured in the accident.
