UFO over High Wycombe

A COUPLE from Sands are baffled after seeing a mysterious red triangle that crossed the skies of High Wycombe last night.

At around 8.20pm Hilary Payne was inside her home in Lane End Road when her husband Garry, who was working in the garden, called her to look at the strange object in the sky.

She said: “It made absolutely no sound, coming from west to east as if it was coming over from West Wycombe Estate.

“We were quite spooked out by it, my husband and I.”

She said that the strange, silent object disappeared over Desborough Woods as mysteriously as it came.

The couple called the police, who came over to their house to speak to them.

Mrs Payne said that it was difficult to judge the height and speed of the object due to the fact that it made no noise.

She said that it seemed to be burning, and she initially thought it was a meteor.

Did you see the unidentified flying object? Please leave a comment below.

why would you call the police...? I saw some vandalism being caused and called the police and never had anyone come out, if only it had been caused by a red triangle in the shape of a plane

There is a large entertainment lighting hire company in Sands, they could well have been testing one of there very large outdoor lights.

I was thinking of another lighting hire company in the same area, but it could have been AC.

So the husband was working out in the garden at 8.20pm ?? Not only is it extremely cold this time of the year but it would have been pitch black - unless of course they have some expensive lighting system rigged up in their garden.
A call to the men in white coats me thinks...

I agree with Erm and am amazed the police came out about this. Where I used to live we had to call the Police due to some vandalism and they were too busy to come as they were when a friend of mine was being threatened and harassed by some mental bloke.

Smudger,

Good job that they had the glowing red triangle to light up the garden really!

Tell the world you've seen something unusual or beyond current comprehension and few will believe you.

Well, that's fair enough, we all need proof, It's just a shame others missed out on this unique experience.

But, if you do see something, you will have to consider wearing the other man's shoes (so to speak) But hey, what an experience!.

Edison would have been burnt at the stake if he had been born 100 years earlier when he brought those magic voices out from a baker-light tube (telephony) .

You can't blame the doubters it is inherent in most humans. It's just a shame they/we missed out on the fantastic experience shared with everyone

We saw 30 yellow ball lights pass low over Wycombe last Xmas 08 (no it wasn't planes out of heathrow) but it might have been those military guys doing things in secret behind our backs? The lights passed during a 25 minute period on a full moon, but I guess you won't believe that either! Lol..

By the way my lovely analytical open-minded skeptic friend in Henley to his amazement texted us a week later from henley to say, 'My word.. Ive just seen those lights passing over Henley'. Urika, we were so pleased about his own experience.

Might be military? or asteroids etc What do you think?

Perhaps the editors are restricted in what they publish by law?

Hey Ho...

Regarding the police issues, that is a good point, we have had two vehicles badly vandalized by drunken wycombe party goers and one stolen.

Why do people blame the police, It's not their fault that there are so many vandals, addicts and neuvo rich drunks in High Wycombe. It's a ression. and people will get worse as they loose hope and become homeless in numbers with no emergency housing available. Perhaps the shopping malls might be the place to put the homeless business men and women without work and homes in the future ?.

Anyhow, put on the other persons shoes again, if you were a police person would you rather visit a paranormal report or visit a vandalized vehicle?

Life can be seen better when you look at it from the other prospective or point of view.

Anyway, enough ranting, best wishes to you all and keep yours eyes open, hopefully these new investigators will find some evidence for all to see not the lucky few.

I also saw this strange shape travelling through the sky on an arc like trajectory, it moved fairly slowly and I only saw it for a second or two before it passed behind a building that obstructed my view. Given that in the days surrounding the event, people had been using fireworks, I dismissed it as just that.
