April 3, 2001 16:22: THE manager of a Deptford furniture shop pleaded guilty on the company's behalf of fly-tipping.

Appearing at Greenwich Magistrates' Court, Roy Shekono, of Deptford Furniture Centre Ltd, Deptford High Street, was fined £100 and ordered to pay cost of £543 for dumping cardboard cartons, on March 21.

A Lewisham Council enforcement officer found the cardboard dumped on the path near the entrance to Deptford train station on September 28, last year.
