More restaurants, takeaways and food shops in Havering have been given low hygiene ratings by the Food Standards Agency.

These include the Vine in Romford’s Liberty shopping centre and east Asian restaurant Umeko in Upminster.

The latest ratings are given based on three main criteria - the hygienic handling of food, cleanliness and condition of facilities and management of food safety.

They however do not represent the quality of the food, flavour, talent of the cooking staff or the service provided at the venues.
