A person has been taken to a major trauma centre after a crash in Gants Hill. 

The London Ambulance Service has confirmed they were dispatched to Cranbrook Rise this morning (April 19) at 1.12am to reports of a crash. 

An advanced paramedic, incident response officer and a trauma team from London's Air Ambulance in a car were also sent out in response to the crash. 

London's Air Ambulance services are required when responding to London's most seriously injured patients.

The first paramedic was at the scene in under five minutes where a person was found with injuries. 

Paramedics administered the patient treatment at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre. 

Cranbrook Road A123 remains closed between Bethell Avenue and Beehive Lane in both directions since the crash, with eight bus services running to amended routes. 

Commuters wishing to travel via the 123, 150, 167, 179, 296, 396, 462 and SL2 bus routes should check before they travel.
