"Lift 109" opened in late 2022 and at 109 metres up and with a 360 degrees view, it provides a great view of London's skyline.

Some of London's most famous landmarks, including the Shard, Big Ben, BT tower and the US' embassy can be seen from the top.

A relatively short queue is followed by a station where one can read about the rich history of the building, using an interactive table. After, the group go into a room where a projector plays on the surrounding walls.

When questioned, Adi stated that "The view itself is interesting because it's not often you view London from the South side of the river."..."You really get a different perspective."

From waiting in the queue to walking out of its shop, the trip took around 30 minutes but it's recommended that you leave extra time.

The tour is reasonably priced and more information can be found on Battersea Power Station's website.

Following the lift, lunch can be taken at one of the many restaurants, including Bao Noodle Shop (a Taiwanese Bao restaurant), Cinnamon Kitchen (a pan-Indian restaurant) and Fiume (an Italian restaurant).

Then the day can be finished with some shopping in one of the numerous stores, including Bimba Y Lola (a Spanish clothing and accessories brand), Kiehl's (a mainly skincare brand) and Massimo Dutti (a clothing brand).

Other activities that can be done at Battersea include Boom Cycle (an indoor active fitness experience) and Bounce (a place where one can play ping pong and other games) and even Battersea's own book shop (named Battersea Bookshop).

Battersea has a remarkable history, dating back to 1941, when the main structure was first built.

Renovation started on Battersea Power Station in 2013 and lasted around 8 years.

Now, the main building is home to an array of shops, restaurants, cafes and more. There's truly something for everyone to enjoy.
