You might have heard of tubing mascara before but have no idea what it actually is. That’s ok I’m here to explain what it is and why it’s better than traditional mascara.

What is it?

Tubing mascara is formulated with polymers that wrap around your eyelashes like a tube. Traditional mascaras generally take a while to remove especially if it’s waterproof whereas tubing mascaras can be removed with just warm water, saving a lot of time, money and effort in the process.

Benefits

It’s completely smudge proof

Typical mascaras can react with oils on your skin which causes it to smudge but tubing mascara can only be removed with warm water, so it won’t smudge and will keep its shape for a longer period of time. Tubing mascara is more lightweight, long lasting and great for sensitive skin. The biggest benefit for me is that it comes off so easily and quickly, you don’t need to spend ages scrubbing the sensitive eye area just to end up with panda eyes.

Tubing mascaras are good for people who:

  • Wear glasses
  • Wear makeup for longer periods of time
  • Have oily skin
  • Have sensitive eye areas

One downside is that you can’t wear it swimming or anywhere water is involved since it would just be removed.

Here are some of the best tubing mascaras according to me and the internet:

  • Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes - £6
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High - £10
  • L’Oréal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Lengthening Mascara - £13
  • Glossier Lash Slick - £20
  • KVD Beauty full sleeve long and defined - £22
  • Tarte Tartelette Tubing Mascara - £23
  • Merit Clean Lash Lengthening tubing mascara - £26
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara - £27

I highly recommend you try one of these because they are so much better than traditional mascara and everyone needs to try it at least ones.
