Three weeks ago, 12 ‘rocketstars’ landed in the London O2 stadium, flying miles away from Hong Kong to the UK, performing their first concert world tour ever. Who are they? ‘Hello, we are MIRROR.’

MIRROR, a cantopop boy band, debuted in 2018, chosen from the talent show King Maker, produced by ViuTV. The members are the leader Lokman Yeung, co-leader Anson Kong, Anson Lo, Edan Lui, Jeremy Lee, Jer Lau, Keung To, Ian Chan, Alton Wong, Stanley Yau, Frankie Chan and Tiger Yau. Having London as their first location, they are currently doing a world tour of Manchester, North America, Asia, and their home, Hong Kong.

The concert was flawless, with all of them performing nonstop. It begins with a group performance of their newest songs, ‘rocketstars’, ‘innerspace’, and ‘sheesh’, bringing hyper vibes to the stadium. Then they came out either in groups or solo, they are all very entertaining. Edan showed off his very charming piano skills, Jer collaborated with Edan to perform a song that brings a completely different impression to audiences; Anson Lo, Keung To, and Ian each performed their solos, very eye-catching with their amazing stage presence and handsomeness, especially with Ian’s heartwarming singing; Frankie, Alton, Lokman and Tiger performed their new solos as this is their first year in solo debut, they did so well that everyone was cheering for them. Lastly, Anson Kong, doing some collaborations, and his solo performance reflects his manly style. Also, there are so many opportunities for them to interact with audiences and fans which keeps everyone connected to the show and it’s not boring at all.

My favorite part of the concert is the collaboration between Jeremy and Stanley, performing the song ‘fever’ originally by Jeremy. I like the chemistry between them, creating one in a rather masculine style and one in a feminine style, illustrating a perfect combo. The clothes can also highlight their perfect body shape to create a greater image for the audience. I like the last part of the performance, which is the dance part, the most as their dance skill is unbeatable!

The concert is unforgettable and I deeply hope they will return to the UK to perform again. They are currently on the second location of their world tour which is North America and I also wish them all the best and a good show.
