A MOBILE home park owner has been fined after breaching his site licence.
Maurice Sines, the owner of Breach Barns Mobile Home Park, in Waltham Abbey, was fined £500 and ordered to pay costs of £227, and a £15 victim surcharge, by Epping magistrates.
An investigation by Epping Forest District Council officers had found Mr Sines had moved one of his mobile homes close to two other units without asking permission.
Essex fire officers, asked to visit the site by the council, agreed the move had increased the risk of a fire spreading from home to home.
Breach Barns Residents' Association chairman Pat Brooks said: "We fully support the council's efforts to require mobile park owners to abide by the rules and consider the safety of the people living on the park."
Mr Sines has been unavailable for comment.
