Library's popularity is going down, but reading is being promoted all over the internet and is increasing in popularity, so much that an american author Colleen Hover sold more than three million copies more than the Bible, due the increase of atheists and the social media app TikTok which influences millions that reading is cool and fun. This raises the question ,is all social networks bad when this is a platform encouraging not just teens but also adults to find happiness and a hobby without a screen, which is important after lockdown.

Everyone knows how good it is to read to help gain more extensive knowledge, imporove focus and memory, exercises you brian, reduce stress and helps with your mental health. So, with all these positives and not many or even any negative why are books still so expensive. Libraries are free but for some you need a library card that you need to pay for and the books are never truly yours and if you annotate them to fully understand the beauty and depth of them like me you wouldn't be able to use them or if you need them for an english class where you have to do this as well.

Books are expensive. Especially now that books sales have increased they are all raising the prices of them making them more unaffordable if you love to read and do it quickly so therefore need a new book every week or if you don't have any money to spend on books but you have heard of all of the benefits and think you should start or if your in university student and feel you need to escape from reality but your loans only cover so much so you can't afford to spend that much money that frequently.

We want everyone to read but we haven't given everyone the opportunities to.
