MURDERED teenager Rob Knox had a bright future in acting ahead of him.

The 18-year-old was stabbed to death in a fight outside the Metro bar in Sidcup on May 24.

Mr Knox, who had been acting since the age of 11, had just finished filming a small speaking part in the latest Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

His agent Bonnie Sutherland, who also runs the D&B School of Performing Arts in Bromley, said: "It was obvious from the start Rob was a talented actor and he did a lot of work in television and films."

Mrs Sutherland said Mr Knox's biggest thrill had been landing the part of Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the Harry Potter film.

She said: "The director was delighted with Rob's performance and they had already discussed expanding his part in the next film."

Mrs Sutherland added: "He was such a lovely guy; funny, outgoing and extrovert. He was tall and handsome and not at all arrogant."

Mrs Sutherland said she had been on her way to work last Saturday morning when she got a call from Rob's mother Sally.

She said: "It was just unbearable. I called Warner Brothers, who had finished the last scenes of the film on the night Rob died, and told them the news."

She said: "I have spoken to Sally several times since then and she has said how wonderful it was that in the last few months of his life, working on the film, Rob had had a ball and had become part of the team with the rest of the cast."

Mr Knox had been a pupil at Beths Grammar School, Hartford Road, Bexley, from the age of 14 until he left last summer.

Staff there said the school was very upset over Mr Knox's death as he had been very popular.

One said: "The younger ones who did not know his name just called him the actor'."

Headteacher James Skinner said the school's thoughts and prayers were with his family.

He said: "Robert was a kind, considerate student who got on with everyone."
