Six, the critically acclaimed musical, has been making their rounds and this week they stopped in Dartford. The musical focuses on King Henry the VIII's six wives but with a twist.

This modern take on history is full of harmonies and humour which kept the audience clapping till the very end. Every wife tells her story to the audience and with that she sings her beautiful solo. All genres were brought into the mix, every wife sang a unique style of song and every one of those songs are hits, it is no surprise that they’ve topped the charts before.

Not only was there an incredible female band... The show was amazing, their stunning costumes glittered from a mile away. I was honestly blown away, despite a simple set, the show was engaging and fun. No interlude just pure entertainment lasting an ideal 80-minute run. It was a perfect balance, you enjoy but you also learn history, or more accurately her-story. You could feel the spunk and attitude from your seats. They were cheeky, they were playful and kept the audience involved.

After the show I proceeded to ask a few attendees how they found it, here’s what they had to say:

‘I thought it was fun, I thought it was exciting, it wasn’t what I expected... it’s quite unique’

‘I enjoyed the music, the dancing and the storytelling. The show was very colourful’

‘It is educative because someone who doesn’t know of Henry the VIII will know have some idea of how he spent his life’
