I think the key word here is "illegal". They have no right to be here and cost the national lots of money to deport them. I am sick of this softly, softly approach, if we took a tougher stance on immigration it would deter people from coming and freeloading off the country.

About time perhaps a bit more of this treatment and we wouldnt see them flooding in. Most people are sick of these do gooders these people know we are a soft touch, what surprises me we are actually sending some back.

We should be more like the States and turn 'em round in 24hrs, they wouldn't be so affected by the inadequate holding facilities then.

I think you might find out differently but then again you may be typing in this way for speed or because you can't be bothered to think to spell things correctly. Bear in mind that you will have many essays and papers to write throughout your time at Uni and will be marked down for any unintelligible words or sentences you type.

I know doctor's handwriting is just scrawl on prescriptions but it doesn't mean that they started off with bed spelling and grammar. That is something that seems to be more and more lacking in the posts I read. It makes me embarrassed as to what level some of you left your education at!!!

What the hell is this thread about, the article just talks about the detention cells, it states quite clearly that most people are turned around in a matter of hours. It doesn't suggest illegal immigrant should stay in the country. It a very simple situation, illegal immigrant have no business being in the country so should be put on a plane back to there country of origin.. and for the most part at the airports this happens. What makes Great Britain such a decent place to live is our professional and civilised way of behaving, the British are traditional polite and courteous and treat people with respect. That means If some one has arrived here illegally its down to us to remove them. They have committed a legal crime not a moral one. This is a great country and I can understand why people want to live here. Some of the posts in this thread are pretty much saying its acceptable for people to be treated like animals.

Jessie clearly has an issue with her written English and Jess dear it something you really need to work on because as you get older its becomes much more important. At least the girls having a go at expressing an opinion, ridiculing her it pretty **** low, especially since I suspect allot of your a much older than her.

Also it has nothing to do with age but a lot to do with whether kids are being taught well or are actually interested in learning in the first place. I have watched a report on the telly recently that said 70% of kids leaving school now cannot read or write properly. I'm sorry but that is just shameful. In lots of areas it is because there are classes with many immigrant children in. Please do not get defensive at this as it was something I watched and I do not wish to be labelled a bigot as I am not one!

On the other hand I watched a news report last night that said 2 thirds of manual labour is now done by immigrants in this country (skilled workers) and that our economy is booming so god knows what to believe!!

16 year olds do not go to university as you would not have the required A levels to get onto a course (unless they were seriously intelligent - which from you ramblings I can see that you are not).

I say we should send them all back as soon as possible to save the tax payers money. These people have no right to be here in the first place. well i am here in texas in the u.s.a. and we are being overrun with illegal pieces of **** mexicans.they come here and cause wage suppresion,kill us daily drinking and driving.they will not assimulate,the **** like rabbits,you will see teen mexicans holding a 1 year old with a two year old next to her and one in the **** oven.they have no appreciation for the free **** they get here,free medical care,get let loose for minor crimes because no one wants to deport them and they know they have no money to pay fines or find them once they are released.they overburden our hospitals and go to the emergency rooms for common colds.refuse to learn english,fly thier **** flag.if thier country was so great why dont they go back thier to fly it.they are roaches with no concern for ecological limits.mexicans suck dick and i hate them.they will be the downfall of america.

Council taxes are going up`again`... do wages go up? of course not! so it`s more taken from the average british families plate each year, do we see any changes, more policing, more youth facilities, more homes being built for the British? NO, of course not, as i`ve said before; we are becoming the 2nd rate citizen.
