We don't yet know when Adam Hollioake will be returning to The Oval to play first class cricket.
However, we heard some good news this week that Adam's wife, Sherryn, gave birth to a baby boy called Bennaya last Saturday.
It's very, very good news for the Hollioake family, who of course are still mourning the tragic death of Ben earlier this year.
I'm delighted for Adam and Sherryn and I'm hoping we shall see them both at the AMP Oval soon.
It is a case of waiting and seeing what Adam wants to do.
Apart from the England boys, the Surrey squad have spent a lot of time travelling around the country this week.
In the early part of the week we all drove and dropped our cars off at Manchester and picked up a flight to Edinburgh for Wednesday's C&G Trophy game with Scotland.
After we played Scotland it was back down to Old Trafford where we are currently playing Lancashire in a four-day county championship fixture.
We may not like travelling to games but it's an essential part of playing domestic cricket.
In the next week we have a county championship match, followed by a National League fixture at Northampton.
It's a busy time of the year but, whoever Surrey face, I'm confident we will do well.
I'd even be confident if we were playing Australia!
We have an extremely talented squad of players at the AMP Oval.
To be a top side you have to beat the rest and that's what we try to do.
I was disappointed we only managed a draw in our last championship game with Somerset.
If it wasn't for the rain on the third day I'm confident there would have been a result.
I thought it was a thoroughly entertaining match between two excellent sides.
Somerset proved during the game they will be up there at the end.
